is Shiatsu?

Shiatsu is a gentle but deep
form of Japanese bodywork which draws on key features of Traditional
Chinese Medicine. It works on the complete individual on both a physical
and emotional level.
It is based on the principle
that energy (known as Ki in Japanese) flows through the body in various
channels or meridians. This energy flow can become blocked and a symptom
is then produced.
A treatment can leave you
feeling peaceful, relaxed and uncluttered. It gives you space to let go of
stress and unwind from everyday anxieties, while at the same time,
promoting your health and well being.
Regular Shiatsu is excellent
for general health and maintenance, helps get rid of toxins, and allows
you to recognise where you are holding tension in your body.
